Plate Armour

As far back in time as the Bronze Age men tried to protect themselves with armour made from metal plates. One of the oldest surviving examples from that time is a mykenian armour made from bronze. It was very heavy and cumbersome but armour technology certainly developped through the ages but not until the late medieval period was the full plate armour developped. This armour more or less covered the wearer from head to toe and was a very refined version of the mentioned Bronze Age plate armours or the Roman lorica segmentata armours. The medieval master craftsmen compined articulated metal plates, leather straps and joints to a complex and imposing piece of art which combined maximum protection and mobility. Helmets, padded garments and chain mail additions completed most armours.
Mytholon`s plate armour are made from 1,2 mm steel plates and have been optimized for use in a Larp context, but many pieces of armour will also serve you well when used in a stagefighting context. All the armours` edges have been beaded and lacquered black on the inside. Available in blank as well as in browned steel, almost all our armour parts can be freely combined. This makes it possible for the customer to put together his own individual armour without spending a fortune on customized armour. Very often, the customer can optimize a piece of armour by cautiously bending it or adjusting the leather straps to his personal needs.
Do you search for a simple set of bracers and greaves, a breast plate or a complete suit of plate armour? We offer something for everyone! Even armour specially made for women or children can be found in our arsenal!
