Thus, "Halldis", too, is more suited for eating your morning porridge in your camp or a yogurt at the university than for soup. Incidentally, Vikings usually slurped their right from the bowl, anyway. The bone spoon "Halldis" is an exceptional piece of cutlery, not only for historical camp life.Material: Bone Length: 16cmWidth: 2cmHandle thickness: 0.5cm This article is a medieval prop that is only produced in small quantities. Storolf bone needle
"Storolf" is a replica of a Viking-age bone needle from the 11th century, based on an original find from Trondheim, Norway. It is hand-carved and features elaborate carvings based on the "Urnes" style. Bone needles like this can be found throughout Viking settlements at sites such as Birka, Haithabu, Trondheim and York. Needles like "Storolf" were used to close cloaks and also worn as hairpins. The small hole in the needle could be used as an eyelet to pull through a thread, so the needle could be used for repairing fishing nets. Material: BoneLength: 16cmWidth: 3cmThickness: 0.6cm
