The chainmail coif is the classic piece of armour for any warrior.
This coif is made from round rings and woven in the classic european 4-in-1 pattern. The flaps cover neck and the upper part of the wearers shoulders.
Each single ring is riveted shut and can only be opened with great force (or the right tools).

The chain mail "Richard" was made for wearers of average chest circumferences. It is wide enough to wear a gambeson underneath, has long sleeves and is approxamatly knee length. We suggest this chain mail for wearers with an chest circumference of app 90 cm to 125 cm. This way the chain mail can be worn over a gambeson and will extend to a maximum of 140 cm underneath the arms. The rings in the "armpit" are fully riveted. As shown on the picture, we recommend to wear the chain mail above a gambeson and with a belt, to readjust the weight. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a padded gambeson.The sleeves cover some 2/3 of the arms - still being considered a short sleeve chain mail - and reaches down to the middle of your thigh.We suggest to wear this chain mail with an average chest circumference from 90cm to 125cm. This way it chan be worn in combination with a padded gambeson and can extend itself to a maximum width of 140cm circumference. A belt can help to distribute the weight properly.
