"Storolf" is a replica of a Viking-age bone needle from the 11th century, based on an original find from Trondheim, Norway. It is hand-carved and features elaborate carvings based on the "Urnes" style. Bone needles like this can be found throughout Viking settlements at sites such as Birka, Haithabu, Trondheim and York.
