Lenora tiara cotton
The "Lenora" tiara is part of a so called "Shapel" head piece: a ring of cloth added to a basic head scarf. This achieves the "Gebende", a well known medieval head dress for women.
Starting in the 12th century, it was unusual for married women to wear the hair open. A combination of veils and tightly bound scarfs, which were additionally bound underneath the chin, was the most common headdress.
The cloth tiara is decoration on the one hand; on the other hand you can adorn the material with stones, embroideries or paintings individually. The round tiara holds the veil in place in any case. The tiara itself has a circumference of 56cm, but can vary in size by the amount of the veils worn underneath.
