The padded vest "Arthur" features lozenge-shaped top stitchings and four buckles in the front for fastening. The sleeves and bottom fringe have eyelets to attach the sleeves and tassets by means of strings. The lozenge-shaped stitching leaves good freedom of movement without reducing the protective properties of the vest. The collar is stitched more delicately to enable a comfortable fit around the throat as well as greater mobility in that area.

In this "Limited Edition" we offer the gambeson vest "Arthur" in green.

Delivery includes leather strings so you can easily attach all the additional parts.

Arthur gambeson set black

The parts of the "Arthur" gambeson series are stiched in diamond-shape. This allows a good mobility without reducing the protection. The vest is closed by four roll buckles on the front. At the armholes and at the bottom hem, it is fogged with brass eyelets on which the sleeves and tassets are fixed. The collar is finely quilted. This brings more comfort and agility to the neck area. The elbows are additionally upholstered. The complete set of the ' Arthur ' series with vests, sleeves and tassets is available in black and brown. "Arthur " is slightly thinner and therefore very comfortable to wear under plate armor. Of course, this fine set of gambeson can also be combined with any chain armor. Wilhelm armshield small

The small "Wilhelm" arm shield is thought to be and upgrade to our chainmail shirts. Similar to a belt shield, those add ons can show the groups colours, insignia or heraldry. It is being fixed to the wearers upper arm with a belt and can be fastened to the mails rings by using a leather string. Made from armour steel, it is not only an additional armour plate, but also another nice detail on any existing costume. The shield can also be fastened to any other existing armour and clothing - there is no definite need for a chainmail. A gambeson can also be a good foundation: just sew a leather string to the sleeve and attach the shield there! You will only need some creativity and a little handywork. Talking of creativity: We suggest to clean the shield with Acetone prior to painting it. Afterwards just sand it with a paper with 600 grid. Use some automobile colour primer as the colour-matching foundation. When the foundation is fully dried, you should sand it again and apply a second layer of colour. Now is the time, where you can paint your details, like heraldry, animals and writings with weatherproof acrylic paint. We suggest to order a leather string from our stock: this way you have everything at hand, when starting to built your new upgrade.
