Mina spaulders

"Mina" was made as an armour for women. Naturally we had to resign from historical patterns, as equality was not that popular amongst the medieval knight. Today we are proud to announce, that there is a way to dress strong women for the battlefield - using this armour set, you will not only be good looking on the field of glory, ladies! The spaulders are, just like the entire "Mina" series, built similary to the "Balthasar" series: decorations with rivets along the edge beading are a returning design element in both armours. Both armour series can easily be combined with each other. A slim built and swung lines provide a delicate shape to these spaulders. Two moving pieces are flexibly attached by a leather strap to the top plate. The spaulders do not overlap the chest plate and are fastened to the gorget on the top and the upper arm with the bottom strap. Hamond puttee canvas

Puttees have been in use from the Iron Age until the medieval times. It was "reinvented" by the military and used as regular equipment for soldiers in World War I. and in the second World War. Be it Roman legionary or french soldier: this easy to put on leg dress warmes the calfs and protects from scratches and bruises. Our "Hamond" puttees are made from robust canvas fabric. With its 380 cm length, it can be used for wrapping up to the knee - even thicker calfs should get their share of warmth. Early medieval costumes, such as germanic tribesmen or Wikings, will find a good use when strolling through the woods in cold days - it keeps dry and warm and does not only function as an accessory. Leather strings or hidden fixing pins close the puttees and secure them tightly on the place. Lenora tiara cotton

The veil pictured is intended to demonstrate the function and manner of wearing the forehead band and is not included in the delivery. The "Lenora" tiara is part of a so called "Schapel" (circlet) head piece: a ring of cloth added to a basic head scarf. The combination results in the "Gebende" (wimple), a well known medieval headdress for women. Starting in the 12th century, it was unusual for married women to show their hair openly. A combination of veils and tightly bound scarfs, which were additionally bound underneath the chin, was the most common and widely used headdress. One purpose of this cloth tiara is its ornamental role; you can individually adorn this plain item with embroideries or fabric paint. Its second purpose is holding the veil or the wimple in place. The tiara itself has a circumference of approx. 56cm, but the size can be slightly adjusted by the amount of the veils and cloth worn underneath.
